Message from the Custodian
Ms. Kuristina Oyama
Hello and welcome to our website!
Change for the coming era
My mother Chiyako Oyama, who was the hidden source that sustained Sosai and Kyokushin,
passed away in June 2006. As she was the focal point of my actions to
that day, I had to introduce myself and the Kyokushin practitioners to a
new time and a new mind set.
Our main work is to avoid repeating the mistakes made over the last fifteen years.
We must put an end to the cycle of meaningless break up.
This mindset can only be cultivated by the right training with the right intentions
and a clarity of discriminating what is true and what is not true.
Do not fear asking questions. We will provide you the answers you are seeking.
Change can only come from knowing what is most true to you.
I take the role I have as Sosai's daughter very seriously and accept it with both
gravity and love. I also acknowledge that technically Kyokushin karate is in the hands
of the karate-ka’s who have made the journey and gained experience as Sosai's students.
It is these students that ensure the continuation of the techniques and essence of
Kyokushin Karate.
I sincerely ask that you all take up that mantel of responsibility and work with
me to ensure Sosai's legacy continues with honor and honesty.
